Visiting teachers are asked to contact their visiting teaching district supervisor each month as soon as visiting teaching is completed.
District Supervisors are asked to turn in their reports to the VT leader as soon as they are received, or they will be contacted by the VT leader on or about the 25th of each month and asked to obtain their reports. Although all visiting teachers have the entire month to complete their visits, this call can also serve as a final reminder to all to finish up and report in. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
Relief Society Presidency Message
Dear Sisters of South Shore,
This month we celebrate Easter. Egg hunts and special meals are nice but let’s not forget what Easter is really about. We commemorate the Atonement, Death, and Resurrection of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His death and resurrection was for the world to witness. The resurrection is for everyone to partake of, given freely and openly. All mankind is saved from death and will rise again to immortality. Christ was the first fruit of the resurrection.
The more personal gift, the Atonement in the Garden of Gethsemane was given for all, but only those who repent and obey the commandments of God will fully receive it. Christ suffered for everyone’s sins so that we can live with Our Heavenly Father again and receive all that He has promised. The Atonement, the most wonderful of all gifts, has been given and is waiting for each person to accept.
April is also the month of General Conference. We can hear The Lord’s Prophet, Thomas S Monson and other general authorities give instruction, strengthen our testimonies and edify us. We are blessed with several ways to partake of this spiritual feast. We may participate in conference in person, via television, radio or computer. And later we can read the messages in the conference issue of the Ensign or Liahona.
We encourage everyone to “Come Listen To A Prophet’s Voice And Hear The Word of God” and live the commandments so that we will all live with Him again.
With much love,
The Relief Society Presidency
